Let the fun begin!

After a few weeks of attempts, Sarah is now crawling. We are busily trying to baby proof the house with gates, picking up cords, and keeping up the dog hair off the floor. Wish us luck!

Circus

We had a great time Saturday night at the circus. Ringling brothers made their annual stop in Lexington and Simon and I went with Dana and Lucas. We enjoyed the pre-show which we got to go down on the floor and meet the clowns and enjoy a few activities up close. Here is a picture of Simon and Lucas getting as close as they could to the clowns.

First Day of Practice!

Simon survived his first soccer practice. It was 98 degrees and the team practiced for one hour with several water breaks. Simon did pretty well for his first time. He sat down a few times on the field telling me it was too hot which I had to agree.

I promise to not become one of THOSE parents

Although I vow to not become one of those parents, I (and Joseph too) am so excited about Simon starting this week with LYSA to play soccer. He will have practice once a week for a few weeks before games start on September 8th.

Simon is more excited than Joseph and I. He has literally been on the soccer field since he was days old as a spectator and he says "it is time to play like the big boys".

We went last night and got his shin guards just like Daddy and today we ordered his uniform. His team color is red and they are the rockets.

Simon got this guitar from his friend Ella for his birthday. He knew just how to make that rocker face. How do they learn these things?
