A bit embarrassing

Joseph decided to put out all of Simon's trains on the track that Simon and Alice created while she was here. I have to say this is the definition of excessive. Grandma W. loves to buy trains for Simon for an excuse or occasion.

You throw in Aunts, Mommy, Daddy, friends, birthdays, Christmas, Santa, potty training, Valentine's Day, Easter, etc and voila--our basement of Thomas

It was fun Alice

Alice came from California to visit for a week with us. We had a great time. Alice-don't let it be 10 months before you visit again.

Simon at week two of swimming lessons

Sarah also started with parent and me classes but no photos this week.

Just for you, Jeff.

When I came to bed on Sunday, I discovered Simon had moved into our bed with every stuffed animal he owns. He was quite proud of himself when he told us the next morning how he did it.

Happy Birthday, Joseph!

I have wanted to frame these newspapers since they came out three years ago. Boy am I glad the Wethington's are not making the front page anymore.

Happy Birthday Sarah!

We celebrated Sarah's birthday on Saturday Wethington style, with friends and family. Sarah enjoyed her first taste of cake and enjoyed opening gifts with the assistance of Simon. Thanks to all that joined us.

Happy Day!

Sarah's birthday is tomorrow and since she hit the 20 pound mark several weeks ago, I switched her carseat this afternoon. We went to Target and she was sooo much happier. Hopefully our scream filled car rides are done.

They lost, but it was fun!

Brittany called me late Friday to see if I wanted to go with her to the UK vs. U of L game at Rupp Arena Saturday afternoon. Their household has all been sick and her husband David thought it would be best if he just stayed home with the kiddos so Brittany invited me to go with her. The picture taken is from the SECOND row, where we sat. We were sitting next to Alice Forge Kerr, one of Lexington's state representatives. We got to talking to her and she invited us to the "blue room" at half time. I had never heard of such a thing and I am not the typical person that goes there. I recognized many of the faces there, mostly politicians. We had great food and returned to our seats for the second half.

A big thank you to Brittany's dad. They are actually his seats and since he is also a state representative, he gets the primo seats.

Oh, and needless to say Joseph was not happy that I got to go to the game instead of him and when I came home with the above details, it did not help. I told him if his friends call with tickets, he can go next time. :-) (Hint, hint, Jeff!)

First STEP!!!

In the midst of writing the last blog entry, Sarah decided to take her first step. She must have got the memo that her birthday was coming up! You go girl. We are so proud.

Thanks to the Stengers!

Sarah is modeling her first of many outfits from the Stengers. They are dear friends of Melissa and with a recent move from the Chicago area to Colorado, they decided to get rid of all of their girl baby clothes. So Sarah was the lucky recipient. And let me add, their girls were always dressed so cute!

(I know the Stengers are closet watchers of the blog, so thanks)

Go CATS!

It was very windy up in the upper deck were our seats were. Although we were high up, the seats were good.
It looked more like Commonwealth Stadium than LP Field. 66,000 of my closest friends were in attendance. I would say 50,000+ were UK fans.

A final look at the score board.

What a great game. Although I was very sad to leave Sarah for the first time, Joseph and I had a great time in Nashville.

We rang in the new year (Eastern Time Zone!)with Bo and Stacy along with Stacy's brother Joey and his girlfriend at Dave and Buster's.
