This blog entry comes from the beautiful city of San Diego. I am here for work and have a great room with view of Mission Bay. It is very sad that my family is not with me because I am 5 minutes from Sea World and 30 minutes from Legoland.
The Wethington's enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Tennessee last weekend with the Fields. Mary Lee's co-worker had a timeshare with time that needed to be used up so we jumped on the offer. It was a deal and it was great to spend time with my family along with Stacy, Bo, and Kaylee without the typical weekend chores and duties of home.
Simon and I had a date Friday night after we arrived at the Dixie Stampede.

Simon was not sure what I had taken him to at first and really wanted to leave but by midway through, he really enjoyed himself.
Take care and pictures will be posted when I return.

What a relief!
Ok, so mark this down. I made a big mistake! As you may know, we decided some time ago that we wanted to enroll Simon in Saint Peter and Paul Catholic School for kindergarten. I met with the prinicipal last year about this time and she said enrollment for 2008-2009 school year would likely be in December 2007 or January 2008.
At Sarah's birthday party on Janurary 12th, I was talking to my friend Michelle (who sends two of her children to SPPS) that needed to call soon because I hadn't seen anything in the church bulliten concerning enrollment for August. She said, oh Mary, I think it was in December. I tried not to panic. I called first thing in the morning on the following Monday and in fact, Michelle was correct. Open enrollment had passed and there was now a waiting list.
Luckliy, last week during Catholic schools week, deposits for the August were due and there were a few families that did not pay. We were in luck. Simon was first on the waiting list.
Well, long story, long, I went to SPPS today and paid Simon's enrollment fee and his first month's tuition. HE IS IN! I can now sleep, that is until it really hits me that my baby is growing up and is going to Kindergarten!
