T-ball season is in full swing

Simon is enjoying t-ball. I have to say it is a bit serious for my taste at the 5 year old level but as long as he thinks it is fun, we will stick with it. He is mostly behind the first base backing up the first baseman. The positions stay pretty set for the season which I think is ridiculous but they haven't asked my opinion. :-)
We are also balancing it with soccer every Saturday which I am coaching again. Coaching is much easier this season though because another parent has stepped up to be my assistant coach and he has been great.

Derby party!

St. Peter and Paul School had their annual Derby party complete with horse racing, derby hats, and jockey silks. Grandma put her creativity to work and made Simon's "racing silks." Sarah gave the horse a try at the end of the school day too.

Art show

Sarah is showing off her butterfly on one of the bulletin boards.

Monday evening was an Art Show and chili supper at Sarah's school. It was an event to celebrate "Week of the young child." They displayed similar at projects that each of the children did and it was neat to see how they develop through art. (Please ignore Sarah's mismatched outfit...two words: potty training.)

Something's missing!

After climbing in the truck Thursday heading to T-ball, Simon very calmly said, "Mommy, I think I just lost a tooth" He said it just popped out. Who knows but I am glad the first one out was easy. (It has been loose for several weeks)

Balloon Glow at UK

We went to the balloon glow last night. It is an annual event hosted by the Alumni Association and Student Activities.

My last day

Four weeks after giving my notice, yesterday was my last day in clinical research. My co-workers gave me a nice reception and a gift card to purchase scrubs for my new job. I am truly going to miss my co-workers especially those that I had the privilege to supervise. My new adventures starts Tuesday...

Busy weekend

Kaylee, Sarah, and Simon.

Stacy, Bo, and Kaylee joined us Friday evening for spaghetti. Hence, three kids in the tub.
Sarah, Melissa, and I went the breakfast with the works at Keeneland. A favorite of Sarah's. She can't get enough of the horses.

First base hit at the t-ball scrimmage today

Getting ready for the big hit.

Joseph, Simon, and Sarah sharing the love
Melissa, Shane, and Sarah

Melissa and Shane braved the first road trip with twins and came to visit us for a long weekend. We are having a great time, especially Sarah. She fell right into "mommy" mode and loved having the babies here. She wanted to help in anyway we would let her. While Simon is very proud to be a cousin, holding out until they can play video games with him.
